Google and Apple said 22 countries and U.S using “Exposure”

Apple and Google launched software 20th May 2020 that will allow public health authorities around the world to create mobile applications that notify people when they may have come in contact with someone who’s been diagnosed with the coronavirus(COVID-19).

The effort, which the two tech companies call an “exposure notification” tool and which utilizes Bluetooth radios within smartphones, will be part of a new software update the companies will be pushing out Wednesday. 

Federal and State governments can use it to create contact tracing apps that citizens can download via the Google Play store or Apple’s App Store. People who have updated their latest software will be able to share their Bluetooth signal, logging when the radio recognizes other people who have downloaded an app that uses the software.Google and Apple said 22 countries and some U.S. states would be using the software, but the companies declined to provide a list of all the government agencies using it.       [[Buy Now Face Mask, Pack of 50]]

Google and Apple provided endorsements of the software from officials in three U.S. states, North Dakota one of them. “North Dakota is excited to be among the first states in the nation to utilize the exposure notification technology built by Google and Apple to help keep our citizens safe,” Doug Burgum, wrote in a statement provided by the two tech companies. He is the Republican governor of North Dakota.

Apple and Google said that users will have to choose to turn on exposure notification and can turn it off any time, also said that the exposure notification system will be removed on a regional basis when no longer needed.
